Welcome to VanGorden Elementary

Julie Engelbert

Welcome to VanGorden Elementary! We are committed to creating a challenging yet nurturing environment where all students are encouraged to take risks, follow their passion and problem solve through exploration.

We firmly believe that strong home, school and community partnerships are crucial factors in the success of all of our students. When you become part of VanGorden, you become family!

VanGorden serves approximately 600 students in grades 3 through 6. We know these years are full of inquiry and learning to be independent and we strive to ensure our students have everything they need to succeed now and in the future. We create opportunities for our students to be collaborative, self-directed learners, participants in society, effective communicators, and complex thinkers. Our student success is the center of all we do.

We value family and community involvement and have numerous volunteer opportunities in which we welcome you to be involved. Volunteers make a tremendous positive impact and enrich our educational program. Please contact our VanGorden PTA vangordenpta@gmail.com for volunteer opportunities. For other ways to keep up to date on what is going on in our school and community, sign up to receive our weekly newsletter here: Communication Sign-Up and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
